In Indonesia, the 1945 Constitution ensures the right of every citizen to “enjoy a good and healthy environment” which was regulated through Law 23/2003 revised by Law 32/2009. Law 32/2009 stating that the government and the stakeholders are to carry out environmental protection and management in the implementation of sustainable development. This statement stipulated operational by Government Regulation 46/2016 on Procedures for Implementation of SEA. This regulation addresses general procedural matters but leaves detailed guidance to conduct SEA development.
Thus, KLHK (Ministry of Environment and Forestry) supported by ESP3-DANIDA concerns on necessary the development of detailed guidance which regulated into Ministrial Regulation. DIM was assigned by ESP3-DANIDA to assist KLHK during the regulation development process. This assignment completed with one-day workshop namely “Sosialiasi Rapermen Kajian Lingkungan Hidup Strategis dan Instrumen Pendukung (DDDTLH dan RPPLH)”.
