In consortium with Environmental Planning & Technology A/S (EP&T), we was assigned by ESP3-DANIDA to undertake the assignment. The objective of this consultancy is to assist with and provide technical inputs to a revision of the Master Plan for Waste Management in DKI Jakarta in compliance with present Indonesian policies, and to identify obstacles and opportunities for generating waste-based energy with a view to recommending general designs of ITF and TPS.
During our services, we are mandated to carried out the following tasks in close coordination with DLH DKI Jakarta:
- Desk studies of relevant documents, discussions with recipient and site visits to landfill, defined waste sources, TPS and ITF.
- Field studies to present zones, stakeholder interviews and stakeholder workshop.
- Stakeholder interviews, desk study on relevant documents including waste policies and growth and population predictions. Interviews with waste producers and other stakeholders.
- Desk study and site visits to understand principles of present waste separation and work flows at TPS.
- Stakeholder interviews and site visits to potential ITF locations.
- Arrange and conduct inception workshop.
- Arrange and conduct workshop for final presentation of findings and suggestions for updated Master Plan.
